PCI Bus Data/Fax/Voice SoftmodemThe 560PCI/HSF is a software-based analog modem incorporated with Rockwells latest Host Signal Processing (HSP) modem technology. Powered by todays powerful host computer CPU, the 560PCI/HSF does not require proprietary components like DSP, memory and controller found in the conventional modems. Thanks to its lowered component count and high-level integration, the softmodem is reliable and cost-effective.
The 560PCI/HSF is capable of downloading data at a rate of 56 kbps, as well as receiving and sending faxes at 14.4 kbps (upgrade-able to 28.8 kbps). The modem supports voice mail, HSP based speakerphone and video-conferencing operations. The 560PCI/HSF is available to personal computer manufacturers for immediate inclusion in the new PCs.
