This pen-sized dongle USB modem features a hardware-based modem controller and digital signal processor (DSP). Unlike software-based USB modems, the V92HU-E2 manages all modem functionality internally without utilizing the system resources of the host PC. The modem operates with CDC-compliant computers with Linux, Windows or Mac operating system (O/S). It is ideal for applications including Notebooks, Desktop PC, Workstation, Small Business Computers (SBC) and Embedded Systems where dial-up connectivity is needed.
Measuring only 0.55" (14mm) x 0.75" (18mm) x 2.5" (64mm), weighing less than 1 oz., the V92HU-E2 fits in your pocket or can easily be tucked away in a briefcase or stored in the smallest of notebook cases.
The modem provides 300 bps to 56Kbps data rates, 14.4K bps fax, on line voice playback and recording, and a hot swappable USB interface. Other features include Caller ID, Modem-on-hold, Caller waiting detection, Data/Fax/Voice call discrimination, Quick connect, and Extension pickup detection. Modem customization is available through patch code that can be stored in modems on board memory.
The V92HU-E2 meets RoHS compliance directives, and conforms to all standards required for immediate shipping to US, Canada, Europe and other major industrial countries around the world. Features:
